Worth knowing
Saying sorry properly
The instinct is to go big, and it’s usually the wrong one. An enormous red bouquet after an argument can read as buying your way out rather than meaning it — and the person receiving it knows the difference.
What works is restraint plus specifics. Soft flowers, and a card that names what you did rather than hiding behind “sorry for everything”. We’ve delivered enough of these to have a view on it.
Why pastels beat red
Whites, blush pinks and creams read as sincere. Red reads as romantic, which is a different message and can feel like you’re skipping past the apology to the making-up. If you’re genuinely in the wrong, the softer bouquet is the more honest one.
Avoid anything ostentatious. This is the one occasion where a smaller, well-chosen arrangement lands better than a bigger one — it says you thought about it rather than reached for the most expensive option.
What to write
Name the specific thing. “Sorry I was late again and made you wait” means something; “sorry for everything” means you haven’t thought about it. Say what you’ll do differently, and don’t ask for anything in return on the card — no “can we talk”, no “call me”.
Keep it short. Three sentences written properly are worth more than a paragraph, and we handwrite every card so it arrives in ink rather than print.
Questions about this occasion
What flowers say sorry in Thailand?
Soft pastels and whites are the right register — pink roses, lilies, or a mixed seasonal bouquet. We’d steer you away from a large red bouquet, which reads romantic rather than apologetic. Tell us the situation and we’ll suggest something that fits.
Should I send a big gift to apologise?
Usually not. Something considered lands better than something expensive — an oversized gesture can feel like you’re trying to close the subject. Our Sweet or Generous box with a properly written card does more work than the Lavish one here.
Can you deliver an apology gift today?
Yes, if you order before 2 PM. With apologies, sooner is genuinely better — a gift that arrives the same day says you didn’t sit on it.
